High school fencer JIE and his widowed MOTHER are dedicated members of a cult, for it gave them comfort and support when Jie’s OLDER BROTHER committed a monstrous crime seven years ago. When Brother is unexpectedly released from jail, Jie defies his Mother to help him. Mother struggles to convince Jie of Brother’s true, incorrigible nature, but Jie stubbornly refuses to abandon him.
When Jie’s teammate is gravely injured in a convenient fencing accident involving Brother, Jie replaces him on the school team. As Jie prepares for the upcoming National Inter-School Championships, a series of mysterious events force Jie to question everything he believed about his Brother, and must now decide if he too, will abandon him.
