2049+ Voice of Rebirth

Wei is a “zhentou”, the leader of his local temple parade. When his grandfather desperately needs money for medical attention, Wei decides to apply for historical landmark status for the Fu Yan Temple his grandfather left him, so it can be a “nail house” (holdout) and get more money from real estate developers. He even collaborates with his neighbor Rainy to perform “Guan Jiang Shou”, a traditional and religious ceremony, and participate in a global singing and dancing competition to enhance Fu Yan Temple’s artistic value. But in his pursuit of money, Wei ends up betraying Rainy. In order to win her back, he must come to understand the true meaning of faith and stand up to protect the disadvantaged residents of the Fu Yan community.
