The Haunted Heart

WEI Xiao-ling is a game tester in a cutting-edge gaming company. She also happens to be capable of seeing ghosts⁠—an ability that brings her much grief. When she accidently kills her boss SHI Da-yong, a ghost from the Qing dynasty claims he can help Xiao-ling solve her problem. Under his instruction, she partners up with SHI Da-yong, now in the form of a spirit, to retrieve his “dying memories”. They have but 49 days to restore his soul back to the body before it rots. Meanwhile, Xiao-ling confides in the psychologist HO Ching-fung to diagnose and “cure” her from her condition. Part of Xiao-ling believes that all these supernatural experiences are only an illusion.

On the other hand, Xiao-ling’s ghost-seeing ability means she has an extremely strong brainwave, making her an ideal test subject for Da-yong’s game. She finds herself torn between falling for Ching-fung’s calm and gentle touch or Da-yong’s bold and fearless resolve. Navigating the fine line between trust and betrayal, Xiao-ling eventually finds love and acceptance in the most unexpected places.
