A college student Xun takes his classmate Nuan, who has a huge crush on him, back to his hometown in Taoyuan Daxi District after 7 years of absence, for a class assignment during the summer holidays. Xun’s return to Daxi coincides with an annual religious festival held in the community to celebrate the birth of GUAN Yu, a general in the Eastern Han Dynasty (A.D. 25-220) who was later deified by many Chinese people.There are reasons why Xun hasn’t returned to his hometown all these years and it is all tied to his relationship with his estranged father and what happened to the family in the past when he was still a kid. All the memories flash back to Xun as he gradually works his differences with his father and opens up to the ones that care for him.

As the ceremony approaching, Xun sets on a journey with people in the community and childhood bestie to recover forgotten memories and fulfill his promises and to celebrate the beautiful summer temple fair.
