A genre-bending, coming-of-age epic, from the perspective of a mute twenty-nothing, set in Taipei during the summer of the Hong Kong protests.

Taipei, June 2019: one of the hottest summers on record, and an election year, all while the Hong Kong protests are reaching a boiling point and spilling over. Despite the tense atmosphere, millions of Taiwanese people persisted, nonetheless, and tried to live their normal lives.
ZHONG-HAN, a mute twenty-nothing from the countryside, lives a meaningless existence in Taipei. During the day, he works at a struggling street eatery, earning just enough to survive. At night, he makes some extra cash helping a local gang collect debts and pick fights, or gets wasted and writhes the night away at nightclubs. When the eatery’s ownership changes hands to an ambitious landlord, Zhong-Han will find himself caught in the middle of a tumultuous chain. In a world full of injustice and people without voices, he will find out that those who cannot speak can still have so much to say with two fists in one night.
