MADAME PIRATE: THE SECRET DIARY

Madame Pirate: The Secret Diary is an interactive VR experience that uses a 6DOF room-scale format. The story is presented in comic strips and live-action formats, with ZHENG Yi-sao chronicling how she mentored a young woman to become a pirate in her diary. She wants to prove to herself and the world that the Red Flags is a worthwhile enterprise. The young woman, known as the Interpreter, represents the coastal people, including farmers and villagers, who are oppressed by the corrupt leaders and armies of the Qing Dynasty. The Red Flags are brutal pirates feared and despised by those they claim to protect.
