Gui-lin has been hiding as a fugitive for four years since he shockingly sought revenge at the funeral of a gang leader. After learning he has only six months to live due to cancer, he resolves to turn himself in before bidding farewell. However, he finds himself only the third most-wanted criminal on the police station bulletin board. Determined to become the most wanted, he resolves to eliminate the top two competitors and take the title for himself.
通緝犯陳桂林在角頭大哥告別式上囂張尋仇，從此藏匿萬華四年，直到他被告知罹癌只剩半年性命，決定在面對生命盡頭之前出面自首，卻在警局的公告欄上發現自己竟然只是排名第三的通緝犯。他查出前二名通緝犯的下落，一一去除這兩位勁敵後，以為自己已完成當代的「周處除三害」，卻沒想到永遠參不透的貪嗔癡，才是人生終要面對的罪與罰。
