In a dilapidated room, a woman gazes at the drying wall while touching the scar on her leg, as memories of a lost love come flooding back. Girl in the Water is a hand-drawn animation based on the director’s personal experiences, painted in watercolor and pastel frame by frame. The film depicts femininity and female internal time-consciousness through the convalescence of a woman’s broken heart.
