The Soul of Beijing Opera

This documentary follows the trail of the Beijing opera master ZHU Lu-hao, known as a national treasure in Taiwan, the emerging Hakka actor XU Ting-fang, the Amis actress Nainuo Yian, and the Rukai girl Xie Le. They have explored how operatic art affects their philosophy of life through their daily routines, training processes, creative process and insights gained from performances. Through their experiences, the audience will come to understand the aesthetics and spirit of Beijing opera.
