2049 comprises three chapters: The Fortune Telling, The Hedgehog Effect, and The Talk of Love. Set in 2049, The Fortune Telling is about humans trying to control their own destiny by using predictions from big data; The Hedgehog Effect questions whether new technologies can heal old traumas; and in The Talk of Love, a couple attempts to fix their relationship using an assistive communication device. Three stories, three traditional female roles. We hope this series can help audiences expand their imagination about life in the future, as well as reflect on the traditional values of Asian women.
