The Haunted Heart

WEI Xiao-ling is a game tester for a cutting-edge gaming company. She can also see ghosts. This ability brings her much grief. For example, she accidently kills her boss, SHI Da-yong. A ghost from the Qing dynasty claims he can help Xiao-ling solve her problem. Under his instruction, she partners up with Shi Da-yong, now in the spirit form, to retrieve his “dying thought”. They only have 49 days to restore his soul back to his body before it rots away. Meanwhile, Xiao-ling also confides in psychologist Ho Ching-fung to diagnose and “cure” her from her condition. Part of Xiao-ling believes all these supernatural experiences are just illusions; there aren’t any ghosts and it’s just a cognitive malfunction. Xiao-ling’s ghost-seeing ability means she has extremely strong brainwaves, which makes her able to test Da-yong’s secret brainwave game. She is the tester Da-yong has been trying to find for a long time. She finds herself torn between falling for Ching-fung’s calm and gentle touch and Da-yong’s bold and fearless resolve. Navigating the fine line between trust and betrayal, Xiao-ling eventually finds love and acceptance in the most unexpected of places.
