The year is 2020, and the world is shocked by how quickly the COVID-19 pandemic took over human civilization. In just a few months, the virus spread to over 180 counties, infecting more than 80 million people and leaving 1.7 million dead in its wake. It wreaked havoc on the global economy, with cities going into lockdown, schools closed and many peoples’ lives suspended. But within the sea of pain is Taiwan, a COVID-19 success story. The country’s economy continued to grow, cities never went into lockdown, and life remained virtually unchanged. In all of 2020, there are but 7 cases of death related to the virus. How is this possible?
