This film looks back at Taiwan’s role in the global confrontation between democracy and communism during the 70s and 80s from the perspective of individuals formerly living in Vietnamese refugee camps.

本片以當時居住在越南難民營的人物出發，回顧台灣於1970-80年代面對全球民主與共產陣營對抗的歷史。

During the 70s and the 80s, Taiwan was an anchor for thousands of helpless Vietnamese refugees lost at sea. As they began a new journey to resettle, Penghu Vietnamese Refugee Camps sheltered them from fear and despair. This film starts with the people who lived in Penghu Vietnamese Refugee Camps. Unfolding the history of Taiwan, she took on the responsibility to protect global democracy against the communist in the 70s and 80s.

1970-80年代的台灣，是當時數千位在海上無助漂流的越南難民們被救起後的第一個落腳地。在他們茫然與失落之際，台灣澎湖的難民村安定了他們的驚恐與絕望。本片以當時居住在越南難民營的人物出發，回顧台灣於1970-80代年面對全球民主與共產陣營對抗的歷史。
