Idealistic and passionate rooky lawyer Yen Ching takes on the case of death row prisoner Ming-te, who has been sentenced to death five times. Yen Ching does not have any high hopes at first, but after learning more about the case, she begins to believe that Ming-te is innocent. Believing that law is justice, she submits extensive evidence to prove Ming-te’s innocence, only to be disregarded by the judges.
