After falling into a pool and losing consciousness, Simao awakens. Over 40 years, the pain and redemption in love, friendship, betrayal, and murder spare no one.

Simao has been unconscious in a hospital bed for 40 years. His friends, who once shared carefree youth with him, feel bound by an invisible tether that keeps them connected.

Time has changed the appearances and circumstances of everyone around him and transformed the city of Taipei they live in. However, it has not changed the fact that Simao is the center of their lives.
