COME HOME, MY CHILD

Filmed over ten years by LEE Ching-hui, whose previous feature Money and Honey was selected for Busan International Film Festival, Come Home, My Child shows how the transformative power of love can reach and liberate captive souls across races and generations.

Come Home, My Child narrates the history of the American Dream through the lens of three women and their bond with inmates in America. Bringing together their stories, this documentary reveals hard truths of the unpredictable ups and downs in life, while showcasing the power of women in contemporary society.

Grandma YANG, Taiwanese, experienced the tragic loss of her son and husband. She now gives all her love to prisoners. Mrs. ZHENG, Chinese, works relentlessly to file an appeal for her son, sentenced to 84 years in prison. Barbara HUST, American, suffers from multiple sclerosis disease. She teaches piano to bring comfort to the prisoners and herself.
