Chia-kai possesses a unique “emotional vision”—the ability to see emotional bonds as visible threads. Their colors and number reflect the depth of connections. Yet he cannot see any threads tied to himself. Born “threadless,” he has spent years unable to understand why he couldn’t form bonds, resigning himself to a ghost-like existence. Yet, an unexpected encounter with police officer Da-wei changes everything. A silver-gray thread appears between them—unlike anything he’s seen. To hold on to this rare connection, Chia-kai takes a part-time administrative job at the police station to stay close to Da-wei. He uses his ability to help with investigations, finding people and lost items, carving out a sense of purpose. As their relationship deepens, the silver thread shifts to yellow, symbolizing friendship, then pink—the color of love. Emotional threads never lie. Chia-kai realizes his fate’s thread was waiting for the right person to bring it to light.
