This episode, Dear, You Are Not Alone, tells two stories on dementia from the views of caretakers, because the mental and the physical conditions of a caretaker affect how the caretaker will treat the patient. We truthfully recorded the caretakers’ awkward moments while caring for the patients, and their facial expressions. We hope it will allow the public to have a gain understanding about caring for dementia patients.
This episode documented two stories: a busy couple caring for the husband’s demented mother, and a group of siblings caring for their demented father. Before finding a good way to look after the patient, the caretakers in both groups experienced a lot of misunderstanding and miseries. The two groups allowed us to follow them closely to capture every moment of caring for their demented family members. They also told us willingly how they felt about caring for their family members, so this episode is very truthful and valuable.
