Doubles Match tells the story of HU Guan-yu, a young boy from a single-parent family who dreams of becoming an Olympic athlete. Despite his average talent and lack of recognition, he never gives up. Alongside his best friend HUANG Hsuan, he trains tirelessly. However, their friendship is put to the test when HUANG Hsuan transfers to a rival school. As Guan-yu faces setbacks, he finds the strength to rise again, leading to a high-stakes selection match where he must compete against HUANG Hsuan. Once best friends, now opponents on the court — in a blaze of youthful energy and sweat, these two 11-year-olds confront trials of family, friendship, injury, separation, and rivalry. Will they be able to achieve their dreams and step onto the stage they’ve always longed for?
