EARTH FOCUS: CALL OF THE OCEAN

Earth Focus was filmed and produced by a nature and ecology documentary team that spent more than ten years traveling across seven continents and more than 60 countries.

「大洋的召喚」系列由榮獲七座、入圍九屆台灣電視金鐘獎的《聚焦全世界》製作團隊籌畫三年，拍攝歷時七百多天，以台灣海洋作為場景，兩大保育類野生海洋動物——鯨豚與海龜作為敘事主角。

Sperm whales and sea turtles are Taiwan’s two most important endangered marine species and have been listed on the IUCN Red List. Because of this, Call of the Ocean, which took three years to prepare and film, features the green sea turtle and cetaceans as its lead roles, making an essential and complete record of Taiwan’s marine ecology.The documentary begins with a journey out to sea to search for an unusual Pacific sperm whale, Hua Hsiao-hsiang, then explores Taiwan’s rich and surprising marine ecology in stages, uncovering survival mysteries and the living wisdom of ocean creatures. Finally, from the perspective of history, this film reflects on the relationship between the Taiwanese and the ocean.

以台灣海洋作為場景、兩大保育類野生海洋動物——鯨豚與海龜，作為敘事主角，主持人舒夢蘭從身為海洋國家子民的角度出發，實際走訪全台與離島海域，以宏觀視野記錄浩瀚生命。節目團隊雄心壯志且突破萬難，成功記錄台灣海洋生物的多樣性與珍稀瀕危物種，拍攝成果更創下台灣紀實節目多起新紀錄。
