EYE OF THE STORM

While on his way to celebrate his five-year-old daughter’s birthday, Dr. XIA Zheng, an attending thoracic surgeon in Taipei, receives an emergency call and is called back to the hospital. Without warning, XIA is trapped in the hospital closure with nearly a thousand healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

Another patient of XIA’s, tabloid journalist JIN You-zhong catches wind of an unknown virus spreading across hospitals. Based on his journalistic instincts, JIN partners with XIA to search for the virus’s origin. To JIN’s surprise, he finds himself somehow related to the source.

Young male registered nurse AN Tai-ho and the intern LI Xin-yan LI are also trapped by the hospital closure. Despite the high possibility of infection, they prioritize caring for the patients and forget that they, too, are in a dangerous environment. They all make the most unthinkable choices: helping others is the ultimate salvation in an epidemic!
