The legendary deity pilgrimage and burning the king boat by the sea at midnight are something that most people in their lifetime have never participated in. This film begins with the animation of a boy narrating the story, which is followed by the on-site records shot with VR 360. Through the interpretation of immersive circular projection, the public can fully appreciate the world-renowned cultural assets and the sacrificial ceremonies in Donggang.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY

KAO Yi-Chun’s VR360 animation short film Statue of Distress in 2018 was selected for the international competition section of Animafesta Zagreb. The interactive VR animation VR Crime Series in production was also selected for proposals on industry platforms like IFFR.

WU Po-Hung’s works include documentary photography, documentary and VR/360 films. His documentary The TASHI Village received a Quality Award in New Taipei City Documentary Film Award. His VR film Twenty Gifts won the Audience Choice Award in Taipei Film Festival.
