Hao is a preserved flower artist whose Instagram page of his floral studio is celebrating its milestone of hitting 100,000 followers. Jay, his friend who works for an online select shop company, asks him to join their Christmas event.
At the pitch meeting, Hao meets Yuan-cheng, the manager of the company, who tells him nonchalantly that he is “allergic to flower, romance, and serendipities.” Later, Hao takes him to Yilan, where they see an old couple, and Hao tells him: “I was raised by my grandparents. They were together for 60 years — a form of love which I hope to restore to our generation.” After a pause, he continues, “You know, preserved flowers (eternal flowers in Chinese) are allergy-free.” Yuan-cheng falls silent, but at length admits that he is intrigued. He formally invites Hao and his flowers into his life and business, saying, “We’ll be seeing each other a lot during the next four weeks…”
