It gets misty in the tribal village in September, resembling the strange atmosphere in Hayung’s family this autumn. After their land was occupied and the 80-year-old Hayung passed away, Hayung’s descendants deviate from GAGA, Atayal’s traditional norms, which Hayung believed in all his life.

Hayung’s family is an epitome of indigenous families in Taiwan, where the concept of “a tribe as one big family” is waning. Amid the eldest son’s election campaign, the entire family is on the verge of collapse, and the village experiences snow for the first time in a very long time. As the snow melts, new life emerges, and the broken family begins to mend and repair itself.
