After being wronged for 40 years, he and his family return to the court seeking justice.

SU Ping-kun is a name that is certainly mentioned in Taiwanese judicial textbooks, as he is the one who was wronged for the longest time in Taiwanese history. He was wrongly associated with a robbery he had nothing to do with and was tortured to extract a false confession. He endured this ordeal during the period of martial law and eventually saw the advent of liberal democracy in Taiwan. He experienced the joy of being granted a presidential pardon and hoped for a change in political parties. However, regardless of how the world has changed, he and his family are most concerned about his innocence.

The journey toward proving his innocence is long and seemingly endless. Even though we may have breathed the air of freedom, they continue to struggle.
