There was a crayon painting of a home without a door. “If you can paint a thousand homes without a door, a door will show up, and Dad and I will take you go home through that door,” says Ann’s mother. Ann’s faith in these words support her as she goes through every temporary shelter. Ann then meets counselor LIN Xiao, who treats her well and takes on the risk of helping Ann find her mother. He patiently tries to open Ann’s closed heart and slowly integrates her into Peace, the orphanage he operates. However, an accident will turn their lives upside down, and the orphanage faces being shut down…
