Into the Mountain is a ritual that creates a space for individuals to communicate with themselves in nature using VR headsets. This idea is rooted in Bare Feet Dance Theatre’s long-term project, Body in the Field. In this virtual ritual, the participant’s senses will travel through the natural landscape with the guidance of “listen,” “wait,” and “creation.” It is a spatial dimension where the body can discover and connect to its inner spiritual space, transcending linear time and biodiversity.

Lin I Chin, Huang Wei Hsuan
Lin I Chin was born in Yunlin County, Taiwan in 1983, and spent her childhood around the local temple. She has established àn Body based on a long-term dedication to the study and exploration of her own culture.
Huang Wei Hsuan is a digital image and animation artist whose works encompass diverse forms such as theater video, sound, and sound-image. His works mainly focus on using digital photogrammetry to re-narrate spaces that once existed or only exist in the imagination. He reconstructs the various floating relationships between people and their habitats in the past and future, and between imagination and reality.
