An injured teenage baseball player helps the ghost of a century-old Amis boy on a journey home to recover forgotten memories and fulfill a promise that transcends life and death.

After a career-threatening shoulder injury, teenage baseball player Chi-lang returns home and awakens the ghost of Tree, an Amis youth from a century ago who has lost both his memories and his way home. As they uncover Tree’s forgotten past, they reveal the true story of the Takasago Baseball Team, whose dreams were shaped by baseball but shattered by colonial rule and war. Bound by a promise that transcends life and death, Chi-lang, Tree, and Hsiao-hsun embark on a journey across generations to reclaim lost memories, forgotten identities, and the meaning of home. Together, they confront the changing names, languages, and histories imposed by colonialism, discovering that home is not only a place to return to, but a promise carried from one generation to the next. By helping Tree complete his final journey, Chi-lang rediscovers the courage to pursue his own future.
