LOMÁ is an intimate 18-year chronicle that intertwines a long-term record of Indigenous struggle with a candid reflection on activist trauma. The story offers an honest exploration of identity politics, positioning it as a deeply personal yet universal inquiry into the costs of idealism.

Eighteen years ago, a young journalist quit his job to join an Indigenous tribe’s struggle for their land. He traded his pen for physical labor, hauling stones and building homes until he was embraced as their most trusted ally. Yet, once victory was won, his identity as an “outsider” led to his exile by the people he fought for. Now a lawyer preparing for the prosecutorial exam, he is summoned back as the tribe’s homes face the threat of demolition once again. Called upon by the very community that once cast him out, he must now decide: should he protect the quiet life he has built, or return to help those who once let him go?
