LOMÁ is an intimate 18-year chronicle that intertwines a long-term record of Indigenous struggle with a candid reflection on activist trauma. The story offers an honest exploration of identity politics, positioning it as a deeply personal yet universal inquiry into the costs of idealism.

Eighteen years ago, Chiang quit his job to join the Sanying tribe’s fierce resistance against the government’s forced demolition of their homes. As their most trusted ally, he helped build a cross-ethnic utopia during the height of the struggle. However, once victory was in sight, his identity as a Han Taiwanese became the very reason he was forced to leave the Indigenous community he bled for. Now, with the tribe facing a new demolition crisis, the community reaches out to Chiang for help once again. Haunted by the past, Chiang must decide: how do you fight for a home that no longer has a place for you?
