Madame Pirate: Code of Conduct is a 6DOF room-scale VR experience. The story is told by mixing a comic strip format and live-action 4DViews. It is an immersive voyage of discovery in the world of 19th-century Chinese pirates. Directional sound and layered appearances of moving tableaux reveal to the audience how a woman pirate captain (Zheng Yi Sao) leads 70,000 pirates to resist the Qing Dynasty’s corrupt leaders and their armies, and got away with it.
