May Sea Turtles Be with You…Always is a special unit of the Our Island documentary series. It tells a group of volunteers devoted to saving sea turtles after witnessing the threat to sea turtles from human activities such as coastal development, habitat reduction, and floating garbage. Docile and graceful, sea turtles hold a deservedly special place in our hearts and imagination. There is so much mystery regarding these gentle creatures that remains unknown and under investigation to this day. As a critical environmental indicator species, sea turtles provide unambiguous evidence of the condition of marine environments. Their plight has rallied people worldwide to work collectively on solutions and has helped change our behavior, and potentially opened a path to salvation for both them and us.
