MELODY-GO-ROUND

Melody-Go-Round received four nominations at 2022 Taipei Film Awards including Best Actor, which is Kuo-an LAI’s second feature. His debut feature, A Fish Out of Water had it’s world premiere at 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.

Melody and her parents move into a borrowed mansion. It seems like a new start, but Melody’s struggle has just begun. The parents have already separated but lived together for their daughter. Melody was already aware of that empty-shell marriage, as cruel as if she is about to be abandoned.

Based on the abandoned amusement park, Melody imagined her fantasy world – the Moon Kingdom. She indulged in the mirage to escape from reality. Unexpectedly, the Moon Kingdom’s companions kidnaped Melody’s parents and made her hunt them down. Will she stay in the illusion or come back to reality?
