Fei works as a “moneyboy” (prostitute) to financially support his family and is taken under the wing of veteran moneyboy Xiao-lai. One night, Fei is assaulted by a john. Xiao-lai decides to avenge his lover but the confrontation leaves Xiao-lai seriously hurt. Fei panics when he doesn’t hear from Xiao-lai and leaves the city. Five years later, Fei has rebuilt his life as a moneyboy in the city. Hearing about his grandfather’s illness, Fei reunites with his family. His family, however, doesn’t accept him. All except Long, a young villager who admires him. Long joins Fei in the city and willingly embraces his new life as a moneyboy. The two men fall in love.
