NO SECRETS BETWEEN US

Fan Yen-chung is a lawyer who lives a happy life with his wife, Wu Hsin-ping, and his daughter, whom he had with his ex-wife. But one day, Wu vanishes into thin air. To solve the mystery, Fan goes to Wu’s hometown to approach her estranged family, hostile neighbors, reserved teachers and friends. He finds out that she was sexually assaulted when she was 17 and her disappearance seems to be related to that tragedy.

In fact, the real victim of the sexual assault was Wu’s high-school bosom friend, Song Huai-xuan, who had been raped by her half-brother but couldn’t tell the truth. To expose Song’s brother’s evil deeds, Wu was willing to pretend to be the victim to accuse him and bear all the blame and consequences. However, beyond Wu’s and Song’s expectations, the aftermath has drastically changed their life and made them suffer from severe trauma for years. Eventually, Song decides to kidnap Wu to end her great pain.
