Dong, a wannabe actor, finally gets the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fame and success but wakes up with a dead woman, Meng, beside him. Unable to piece together the previous night’s events, Dong is determined to hold onto it. He cleans up the scene and makes it look like a robbery gone wrong but unknowingly leaves traces of himself behind.

While the police search the apartment, all the residents have something to hide. A foreign caretaker frequently quarrels with Meng, a peeping Tom at the massage shop is discovered, the seemingly kind and polite landlord abuses his wife, and an inharmonious family pretends to be happy. With everyone keeping long-held dark secrets, it becomes apparent that everyone has a motive for this murder.
