No way!! Japan’s diva “Singer Juliet” makes a surprise appearance at the tribe? Her manager Xiao Luo is visibly sour-faced the whole time — turns out Juliet is on a roots-tracing journey to reconnect with her late mother’s memories. The tribe’s sweetheart, a.k.a. the Persimmon Princess, Xinlan, gives her a warm welcome; their elementary school friendship is enough for her to say yes on the spot. She even ropes in her boyfriend Chen Wande to form a team and head up the mountain together. Faced with a crew of total deadweights, Chen Wande is already getting a headache.
Once the five of them venture into the mountains, their ignorance of the wilderness leads them to unknowingly offend the mountain spirits and ancestral gods. The deadweights’ antics send the whole ordeal lurching between tears, laughter, and outright terror.
