An anthology of three documentary shorts by three female directors, each observing and questioning what it means to grow up for teenagers in Yangon, Lanyu, and Taipei.

Three female directors revisit adolescence through their documentary shorts, exploring how teenagers make sense of their present and themselves. While adults often define “growing up,” they overlook the real struggles teens face. Through observation and reflection, the directors consider what young people find meaningful—or not—while reexamining their own pasts. Moments once dismissed may only reveal their importance years later. “Only later did I realize that was my first time” speaks not only to youth, but also to the directors’ own journeys of self-discovery and the shifting meaning of growing up.
