Rising pop idol Qin Hao is consumed by anxiety over his fading fame. Desperate to regain public attention, he decides to stage his own disappearance. He recruits Shen Ruoning, the seemingly calm and loyal president of his fan club, as his accomplice—unaware that the idea of a fake kidnapping was never truly his own.
For three years, Ruoning has been quietly planting the thought in his mind through comments, private messages, and repeated words of emotional understanding. One drunken night, Qin Hao finally reveals his plan to her. Ruoning smiles and agrees, but in truth, she has already prepared a far more terrifying script. She brings him to a secluded mansion in the mountains, drugs him, and locks him inside a room decorated like a wedding ceremony. When Qin Hao wakes, he realizes he has become the “perfect groom” in Ruoning’s pathological collection.
A possessive male fan, Johnny, follows them in an attempt to reclaim his idol, only to become Ruoning’s “second collectible.” As a female detective begins to investigate the disappearance, the case reveals a deeper truth: Qin Hao’s vanishing was not an impulsive act, but the result of a three-year psychological rewriting. Even more disturbing, Ruoning’s deceased sister may have been the original collector, with traces of earlier victims hidden in the mansion’s basement.
Qin Hao finally understands that he was not the first, and he will not be the last.
