In the deep of the night, the Indonesian migrant fisherman Abdul-Adl brutally murders the captain and his family. The appointed indigenous public defender Bao-ju treats the case with contempt, infuriating his tribe; Jin-ping has a bright future but has a manipulative father; and Leena, the Indonesian nursing worker, is harassed by her employer, helpless and isolated. They team up, translating and defending the murderer.When Bao-ju’s team finds evidence that implicates the owner of a fishery group, Zhen-xiong. The courtroom debate heats up.
