No one who looks at quirky 40-year-old Englishwoman Allie EVANS would guess that she’s the world’s best online battle royale player. It’s something she’s ashamed to admit, even to her Taiwanese fiancé Malcolm. She has just moved continents to be with him and his teenage son Zac, who surprisingly not only accepts her for who she is, but hires her for a secret business to help rich parents hunt down their addicted kids in-game. But tragedy strikes. Malcolm’s sudden death leaves Allie struggling alone in a strange new land. When a grieving Zac runs away from home, she realizes she’s the only one who can enter the game, track him down, and bring him back—if only she owns up to who she truly is.
