Based on the recent surge in exploring ruins around the world, this series introduces the architectural remains from the Japanese occupation period in Taiwan, stories of the Japanese army and the legendary tales from the local Thieves Market.

Guided by their shared passion for exploring ruins, the 5-member team, known as “Beneath the Ruins,” embarks on volunteer missions that unexpectedly unveil a series of mysterious and chilling events. Across various ruins in Taiwan, they encounter ghostly spirits unaware of the long-gone Japanese troops, a little girl who vanishes from a bathhouse, and the eerie presence of hundreds of eyes in a dark, abandoned mine shaft. These spine-chilling encounters give the team members insight into the stories behind the lingering spirits that remain within these ruins. Despite each member concealing their past, a mysterious force draws them together. What awaits them behind the overgrown grass and decrepit doors? Are there only mysteries and dangers? Or do they offer a second chance for redemption? Will the team members be able to face the shadows of their past and unlock unforeseen possibilities?
