SINSIN AND THE MOUSE

A Japan-Taiwan co-production love story based on Banana Yoshimoto’s novel.

Chizumi loses her mother and travels to Taipei.
There she meets Shingo, aka Sinsin,
who has a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother.
By spending time together in Taipei,
she is freed from her feelings of loss.
Soon after, Yi-Ting’s physically disabled father moved in with them. Determined to hold the family together, Yu-Ming did his best to keep things afloat. Yet he found himself suffocated, sharing a home with a father-in-law who felt more like a polite stranger than family. Unable to truly understand what was going on in Yi-Ting’s heart, it wasn’t until Yu-Ming stumbled upon a manuscript she was editing that he realized the burden she carried far exceeded what he had ever imagined.
