Tender Is The Night is a collection of stories about fling relationships. The protagonists are lonely individuals seeking solace in contemporary cities, such as a woman who hates her deaf boyfriend but engages in sexual activities to let him release his frustration, a dwarf man engaging in oral sex with a fling partner, and an elderly couple in long-term extramarital affairs. Each story and character is independent, yet they share subtle connections through time, space, and their acts of sexual intimacy. The entire film is like a compilation of dances with varying styles and rhythms, symbolizing people searching for affection or desire. At the end of each dance, we realize that their loneliness cannot be shared, and everyone will ultimately embrace only themselves. However, the tenderness left behind after every dance makes each embrace something special, until the next one.
