When the busy day ends, daylight retreats into the tender night. Rooms in corners of the city light up, introducing nine separate encounters: a printing factory worker and a mysteriously quiet woman; a self-proclaimed sick girl and her girlfriend’s secret lover; a deaf man watching his girlfriend sleeping with a stranger; a gay dwarf learning oral for the first time; a lesbian couple and their male friend with benefits; a long-term love affair between two elders; a woke but self-abasing oversized girl and a lip balm-dependent boy; a gay couple trying out a threesome; and two transgender women exploring their new bodies and identities. These nine contemporary stories span across genders, classes, and groups, exploring loneliness, inclusiveness, and tenderness in and out of love.
