THAT PHOTOGRAPH FROM 1977

A cross-culture romantic love story between Taiwan and South Korea occurred in 1977 in Zhongli City, Taiwan that lasts forever.

In 1977, Zhongli City, Taiwan, a local Hakka photographer Xian-ying (played
by LEE) who wanted to explore the world, met KIM Ho-hee (played by JUNG)
a Taekwondo coach from Korea. Coach KIM, who didn’t speak Chinese, fell in
love with Xian-ying because of their mutual attractions. However, Xian-ying
realized that this cross-cultural romance was elusive and difficult to grasp.
Sadly, KIM left her and the city. A year later, Xian-ying received a package
from Korea, containing a cassette tape from KIM. It turned out; after returning
to Korea, KIM became a leader of the student movement and tragically lost
his life. Xian-ying could then only merge her memories of the past, mourning
the love and friendship that never could be recovered, for her and coach
KIM…
