Two teenage boys with completely different personalities and backgrounds are brought together by a shared love for the same song. What begins as a chance connection soon deepens into an inseparable friendship, offering both boys a refuge as they navigate the harsh storms of adolescence.

Jay is outgoing, impulsive, and often misunderstood. He lives with his single mother and grandmother, and at school he is quickly labeled a troublemaker. Longing for independence and weary of adult authority, he takes on part-time jobs to earn his own money. Over time, the appeal of quick cash pulls him into drug dealing. What starts as a way to support his grandmother gradually twists into something darker. Jay’s world is shaken further when he watches his mother succumb to addiction—her spirit deteriorating until she becomes a stranger before his eyes. The pain forces him to confront the very underworld he once believed was his ticket to freedom.

Eason, by contrast, comes from a middle-class household. His father works far away in China, leaving him emotionally adrift. As a child, Eason witnessed his mother’s affair. To protect her, he chose silence, but the secret left him overwhelmed with guilt and convinced he had betrayed his father. Although his parents provide material comfort, he feels invisible—lonely, neglected, and disconnected. When Eason meets Jay, their friendship offers warmth, understanding, and a sense of belonging he has never known. Wanting desperately to keep this bond, he clings to Jay and follows him further down a dangerous path—without realizing just how far he’s drifting. In the darkest corners of their youth, lives begin to unravel….
