The Future of Sea

The Future of Sea records Taiwan’s disappearing marine culture through realistic experience from celebrities, and uses VR immersive technology to preserve special records for future children to understand vanished marine cultural treasures.
The program uses new VR technology to record geographical environments, cultural backgrounds, historical contexts, economic developments, etc. of eight fishing cultures that are about to disappear in Taiwan, from a first-person perspective. In each episode, a celebrity in parenthood is invited to be the host and participated in the cultural experience of traditional fishing methods. This way, they will deliver and convey the knowledge and care of Taiwan’s marine culture.
