THE GREAT TIPSY 1980S

Legend has it that The Great Tipsy Hotel serves an exceptional and mysterious time-traveling cocktail. A detective travels back to the 80s to ensure his lover’s survival.

In 1984, The Great Tipsy Hotel was managed by owner YEH Deh-fu and his fiancée, LIU Shiao-ping. Despite appearing well-connected with the government, YEH secretly supported underground political movements. During an argument, LIU accidentally fell into a hidden temporal rift within the hotel and traveled through time. Distraught and unable to find her, Yeh lost all motivation to run the hotel. One day, while lingering at the bar, YEH met WEI Shi-lun, who encouraged him to restore the hotel’s former glory. Little did YEH know, WEI was coerced by the secret police to investigate YEH.

As the hotel reopened, Hong Kong singer LEUNG Yuen-Yan returned to be the guest performer at the hotel. The young pianist, JIAN Jia-hui, was captivated by LIANG’s charm, and though they had feelings for each other, their differences presented a barrier. Let’s rewind to March 1947, during the 228 Incident in Taiwan. Two Kaohsiung High School self-defense force students woke up in the hotel in 1987. They desperately sought a way back to their time but failed. The hidden temporal rift altered the fate of all these individuals. They must make difficult decisions to amend the mistakes they’ve made.
