Peter Yang, an orphan, works very hard to support his younger brother Larry. Unfortunately, having his investment all lost in the stock market, he is forced to borrow money from a loan-shark named Paul Chow at very high interest rates. In order to pay back the loan he turns to gambling.
Larry is admired by Helen Chung who soon becomes his close and intimate friend.
Peter, meanwhile, wins a considerable sum of money with the help of Bobby Chu, a skillful and honest gambler. This infuriates Tommy Chao, a ruthless gambler, who secretly tries to attack Peter and his fiancee Lily. Failing in his attempt, he cheats Peter at the gambling table.
Unable to pay his debt, Peter reluctantly accepts Tommy’s conditions and aggress to set up a game to cheat Tycoon Henry Chung of his money.
Henry is the father of Larry’s girlfriend Helen. Therefore, when Larry is informed of the swindle he quarrels with his brother.
Peter turns to his friend Bobby Chu who wins back the money from Tommy that Henry Chung lost. Then, Tommy joins forces with Paul Chou, the loan-shark.
Paul demands immediate payment of the money borrowed by Peter or he will kill Larry and Lily whom he has successfully kidnapped.
The imminent showdown leaves Peter injured, but fortunately the police arrive in time to save him and arrest Paul Chou and Tommy Chao. Good deeds pay rich dividends to the soul and Larry Yang raises to his bright future at last.
