Mandy, a senior in her law school, fell off a building and died. After reading Mandy’s will, Dowen, Mandy’s classmate, realizes that her death seems connected to someone she called “My Dear.” Dowen decides to uncover the truth but hides that Mandy had called him before she took her own life. As Dowen delves deeper into the truth beneath Mandy’s seemingly naive exterior, her father appears and accuses Dowen of murdering her. The police also find compelling evidence, shifting the case from suicide to homicide. It forces Dowen out of the role of an outsider and makes him confront the actions he committed out of lust and desire.
