Shu-ching and Yun-jin are best friends. Yu-jin comes from a poor family. After meeting Shu-ching, she witnessed the privileges that come with wealth and became determined to climb the social ladder at any cost. To her, Shu-ching represented everything she aspired to be. But Shu-ching, born into a wealthy family, gave it all up for love. She left her hometown and moved to a unfamiliar city, where she started from scratch by opening a small laundry shop. As the years passed, Yun-jing’s ruthless ambition left her increasingly dissatisfied and unhinged. And Shu-ching, who had chosen a simpler life, ran the laundry shop with her husband. Despite many challenges, the couple supported each other and stayed true to their path.
